The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program announced on Monday that it selected two �ƹ���Ƶ executives to be part of national fellowships designed to support new and prospective presidents achieve higher and more equitable levels of student success.

RCBC President Dr. Michael A. Cioce is one of 26 selected for the 2022-23 class of the Aspen New Presidents Fellowship and RCBC Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Success Dr. Karen Archambault is one of 31 selected for the 2022-23 class of the Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship. 

More than 500 new students and their family members attended �ƹ���Ƶ’s first Welcome Back BBQ as part of a collegewide initiative to help transition new students to college and increase their chances of success.

The turnout more than doubled the college’s original estimate.

In recognition of Constitution Week, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will welcome America’s newest citizens during a special naturalization ceremony at �ƹ���Ƶ’s Votta Hall on Friday, Sept. 16 at 10:00 a.m.

Among the 100 scheduled to take the Oath of Allegiance is former Philadelphia Flyer and current NBC Sports Analyst Scott Hartnell.

Did you know October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month?

�ƹ���Ƶ’s 2020 valedictorian Shanni Prutchi was featured in a statewide meeting about the NJ Pathways to Career Opportunities in Technology. Because of the success of students like Shanni and the college’s Cybersecurity program, the college is a Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense and a Center of Workforce Innovation for Cybersecurity.

Your wait is finally over, because this December, several of RCBC’s own students will be taking the stage in “The Year Without Santa Claus!” The classic Rankin and Bass production is an adventure for the whole family, so bring your loved ones down to Votta Hall on December 9 - 11 for a production on our very own stage.

Readjusting to daily life after returning as a veteran is no small feat. From the housing crisis to food insecurity, returning veterans often face the strife of a staggering adjustment period back home. For veterans like Mike Hamlin, an RCBC alum, there is nothing more important than doing everything possible to ensure fellow vets are supported when they finally come home. 

Since childhood, RCBC student Eric Breazeale has been interested in exploring the world of business and making a difference for those around him. From the yard sales of youth, to a startup non-profit, Breazeale has always had the zeal to “Make Life Better.” 

Additionally, despite the challenges of creating a non-profit organization, the new Saxbys SCEO became certified to one day circle back to his goal of creating a space for funding the education of students in STEM.
