With the goal of improving success rates among veteran students, �ƹ���Ƶ will officially open a new Center of Excellence for Veterans Student Success on Saturday, April 30 in conjunction with a community fair for veterans.

The Burlington County District 11 Veterans of Foreign Wars and the VFW Auxiliary is organizing the fair in Votta Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Veterans can get information about VA claims filing, federal and state veterans’ benefits, housing, counseling, employment, discharge upgrades and more.

Nearly 50% of today’s college students are considered first-generation. For Dana Knittel, earning a college degree is a necessity. A first-gen college student, Knittel knows the challenges associated with lacking a college degree. She studies business at �ƹ���Ƶ and hopes to eventually pursue a career as a real estate agent. 

�ƹ���Ƶ, New Jersey’s top-ranked community college, is going stigma-free.

Meet David Dunkerson, a computer technician for the Willingboro Board of Education who found his way thanks to �ƹ���Ƶ and is now paying it forward by helping others find theirs. In 2019, Dunkerson created a Nonprofit Sports Organization called . for youth and amateur athletes.

The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program announced on Monday that it selected two �ƹ���Ƶ executives to be part of national fellowships designed to support new and prospective presidents achieve higher and more equitable levels of student success.

RCBC President Dr. Michael A. Cioce is one of 26 selected for the 2022-23 class of the Aspen New Presidents Fellowship and RCBC Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Success Dr. Karen Archambault is one of 31 selected for the 2022-23 class of the Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship. 

More than 500 new students and their family members attended �ƹ���Ƶ’s first Welcome Back BBQ as part of a collegewide initiative to help transition new students to college and increase their chances of success.

The turnout more than doubled the college’s original estimate.

In recognition of Constitution Week, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will welcome America’s newest citizens during a special naturalization ceremony at �ƹ���Ƶ’s Votta Hall on Friday, Sept. 16 at 10:00 a.m.

Among the 100 scheduled to take the Oath of Allegiance is former Philadelphia Flyer and current NBC Sports Analyst Scott Hartnell.

Did you know October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month?

�ƹ���Ƶ’s 2020 valedictorian Shanni Prutchi was featured in a statewide meeting about the NJ Pathways to Career Opportunities in Technology. Because of the success of students like Shanni and the college’s Cybersecurity program, the college is a Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense and a Center of Workforce Innovation for Cybersecurity.
