Mission:
- The Tutoring Center provides academic resources and support services to RCBC students to help them achieve greater academic success, including reinforcing course concepts and skills, supplementing classroom instruction, improving learning efficiency and effectiveness, and supporting faculty in student learning.
Goals:
- Support student learning by providing accessible, high-quality tutoring services across a wide range of subjects and disciplines.
- Promote academic confidence and independence through the implementation of personalized tutoring pathways, multimodal service delivery, and a sustained feedback infrastructure that ensures alignment with evolving student needs.
- Provide personalized tutoring support for diverse student segments including adult learners, neurodiverse, and working students to advance achievement and retention.
We provide in-person tutoring on the Mount Laurel campus on a walk-in or appointment basis. Math and science tutoring is available in TEC-137, and tutoring in writing and humanities is available in Laurel-323. Students can view our schedule and book an appointment directly using their BaronOne accounts. for accessing the online appointment scheduler.
The Tutoring Center partners with Brainfuse to provide an online tutoring option for students. Time in the online tutoring platform is available by request by emailing tutoring@rcbc.edu.
In addition to providing traditional walk-in and appointment-based tutoring, the Tutoring Center also provides support to students directly in select classes through our Embedded Tutoring program. An embedded tutor attends and participates in class sessions to provide on-site assistance for students and create adaptive strategies for social and academic growth.
Students interested in joining the Tutoring Center Staff should contact Career Services. Tutors should have a 3.0 grade point average, a B grade or higher in any courses they wish to tutor, and a strong interest in helping other people. Student tutors are paid for their services.
