ƹƵ (RCBC) announced that its Board of Trustees has formally rescinded the Tuition Reduction Agreement previously announced between RCBC and Thomas Jefferson University.

The board’s action followed an internal review confirming that the agreement had been executed without board authorization and conflicted with provisions contained in RCBC’s longstanding, contractually defined partnership with Rowan University.

“This decision is rooted in our commitment to sound governance, transparency, and the integrity of our institutional relationships,” said Acting President Dr. David Spang. “RCBC maintains great respect for Thomas Jefferson University and the exceptional work they do in advancing education, healthcare, and innovation. We remain open to exploring potential collaborations in the future that are properly structured and consistent with RCBC’s established partnerships and procedures.”

RCBC reaffirmed its strong partnership with Rowan University, noting that the innovative 3+1 degree pathway has saved students more than $36 million in tuition costs while expanding affordable, high-quality baccalaureate opportunities throughout southern New Jersey.

RCBC continues to focus on providing accessible, high-value education that prepares students for meaningful careers and lifelong success.
