ƹƵ’s Podcast Network dropped a new episode of its Program Pod series today, Nov. 25. In a tribute to Veterans Day in November, Episode 28: Thank You For Your Service, highlights the veteran services at RCBC and features guests who are veterans of the military.

RCBC’s Program Pod delves into the programs offered at the college, typically featuring three different perspectives from guests. In this episode, host Jay Varga sits down with Reginald Taylor, RCBC student, student ambassador, and Army veteran; Stephen Hodsdon, Paramedic Science lab skills instructor and Air Force veteran; and Jennifer George, Military Education and Veteran Services coordinator at the college.

Among several topics, the panel discussed the support RCBC provides to its veteran students, for which the college has earned statewide recognition.

“I'm here to help students,” George explained. “I can register students. I can advise a little... I can bring somebody in from filling out their application all the way to graduation… What I spend a lot of my time doing is certifying students who are using benefits so they can come in and ask me questions… what's considered full-time, what's the regulations for the GI Bill?”

In another discussion featured in the episode, Hodsdon and Taylor elaborate on their times serving their country. Hodsdon enlisted during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged upon its conclusion. Taylor served from 2016 to 2020, having deployed to Afghanistan in 2018.

“[I] started off as an infantryman, to be exact. It was an indirect fire infantryman, which uses mortar systems. Did a tour in Afghanistan, and changed my job once I came back to combat engineering, and I spent the rest of my time out as a combat engineer," Taylor said.

Although they took different paths to arrive, each guest has found their place at RCBC, whether it be teaching, mentoring, or learning. To hear more from each guest, tune in to the episode available at  or .
