Dr. Karen Archambault
Dr. Karen Archambault serves RCBC as Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success (EMSS) leading the departments supporting the student journey outside of the classroom, from admission to graduation. Under her leadership, the division has improved student satisfaction, expanded dual enrollment partnerships, and increased graduation rates through redesigned advising and holistic student support systems including the college’s veterans’ and wellness centers. She established critical student care programs such as a food pantry and emergency fund to address basic needs and promote student success. Dr. Archambault serves as a founding co-advisor of the college’s Alpha Alpha Alpha chapter, the honor society for first generation college students.
Nationally recognized for her expertise in advising and student success, Dr. Archambault is a past president of NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising and an Aspen Rising Presidents Fellow. She is an accomplished author, editor, and presenter whose work focuses on leadership development, transfer student success, and equity in higher education, serving on the editorial boards of the NACADA Journal and the Journal of First-Generation Student Success. Dr. Archambault currently serves on the boards of Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey as well as on the board of the alumni association of Salisbury University.
A passionate believer in lifelong learning, Dr. Archambault earned her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Rowan University, with a dissertation focused on improving transfer student preparedness. Her academic background also includes a master’s degree in Counseling from Trinity Washington University and a master’s degree in History from Old Dominion University as well as a bachelor’s degree in History from Salisbury University.
