Jonathan Grubb

Dr. Jonathan A. Grubb serves as Associate Dean in the Humanities, Business, and Social Sciences (HBSS) division at »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ. He previously worked as the Senior Research and Evaluation Analyst at the National Organization for Victim Advocacy (NOVA) as well as an Associate Professor and Graduate Program Coordinator in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Georgia Southern University.

As a faculty member, Dr. Grubb taught a diversity of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Research Methods, Gangs and Society, Victimology, Criminology, Global Perspectives on Human Trafficking, as well as Popular Culture and Justice. He also partnered with local correctional facilities to teach courses based upon the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program model. Dr. Grubb has authored more than a dozen peer-reviewed articles in leading journals including the Journal of Research in Crime and DelinquencyJournal of Interpersonal Violence, and Criminal Justice Review. His publication on integrated victimological theory in Criminal Justice Review earned the James L. Maddex Jr. Paper of the Year Award.

Beyond academia, Dr. Grubb has demonstrated extensive community engagement, previously serving as President of Savannah Working Against Human Trafficking (SWAHT) and as a Board Member and volunteer for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit.

He earned his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. He also holds an M.S.C.J. from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a B.S. in Sociology from the same institution.
