Dr. Francis Canedo
Dr. Francis Canedo is a dedicated academic leader with extensive experience in higher education administration. She currently serves as Dean of Humanities, Business, and Social Sciences at »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ, where she directs strategic initiatives focused on student success, faculty development, and community engagement.
Previously, Dr. Canedo held leadership positions at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville as Director of University Honors, Mesa Community College as Dean of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, and Northeast State Community College as Dean of Humanities and tenured Assistant Professor of Spanish. Throughout her career, she has advanced equity-focused initiatives, managed substantial budgets, and strengthened academic programs at diverse institutions.
Dr. Canedo holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from East Tennessee State University, a Master's in Finance from Universidad Privada Boliviana, dual bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Economics, and a Graduate Certificate in Economic Development from ETSU.
