Learn about basic food safety through the ServSafe Food Handler certification.

A ServSafe Food Handler certification verifies that a person has the knowledge and skills to handle food safely and prevent food-borne illnesses. The certification is for food handler employees, such as cooks, waitstaff, and dishwashers. To earn the certification, you must complete the ServSafe Food Handler course and pass a 40-question exam. The course covers topics such as Basic Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, Cross-Contamination and Allergens, Time and Temperature, and Cleaning and Sanitation.

Course fees include: Textbook and one attempt of the certification exam.
