Accepted Diagnostic Medical Sonography Students

On your conditional acceptance into the Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) degree program at »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ, beginning the Fall term of 2025! 

Please read this webpage in its entirety, so you can understand the conditions of your acceptance as well as the steps to take in order to reserve your seat in the program as these steps are time sensitive. 

NOTE: Please be advised that while this program is described as a 21-month program, the curriculum is such that it could require the coursework and/or clinical requirements to extend beyond this period.

Terms of Conditional Acceptance 

Your acceptance is conditional based on the following items being completed successfully by the dates required. If the items below are not completed by the specified date, and/or the required clearances/compliance requirements deem you ineligible (do not have clear/negative results), you will forfeit your seat in the Fall 2025 class. You will be required to reapply to the program at a later time in order to be considered for admission during a future application cycle, without the guarantee of acceptance.

 

Clearances/Compliances include, but are not limited to the following (to be completed at the students expense): Clear criminal history background check, clear PA child abuse screening, clear/negative drug screening, clear/eligable PA fingerprinting, CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Professionals from the American Heart Association ONLY), satisfactory completion of health requirements: physical exam, immunizations (based on clinical agency requirements, which are subject to change), titers (blood work to check the amount of antibodies in a person’s blood), tuberculosis testing, annual influenza vaccine beginning Fall 2024, Health Care Compliance Course: HIPAA/OSHA e-learning module completion through Adam Safeguard/SentryMD account, proof of health insurance, etc. 

Note: You must be at least 18 years of age by the start of the Fall 2025 semester.

Step 2      Your confirmation of attendance to the mandatory Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Orientation which will be taking place on Thursday June 5, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m  must be received no later than April 30, 2025. Step 3     »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ has contracted with Adam Safeguard and Sentry MD to process and maintain your student health requirements set by the institution. Register and pay for a compliance package through Adam Safeguard/SentryMD no later than Wednesday April 30, 2025 (instructions on how to register are listed below)

  • You will be required to enter the School Code: rcbchss
  • Follow the instructions on the screen. You will know you have successfully completed the process when you receive the Order Number on the third screen 
  • Please use your RCBC student email address when registering for Adam Safeguard/SentryMD to ensure that all compliance communications are sent to your RCBC student email address throughout the program. 

Once you have received the order number above, Adam Safeguard will begin the process for your criminal background check, PA child abuse clearance, and drug screening. 

The drug screening will have a short window, so please make sure to check your email (and spam folder) for the script to complete your drug screening by the date indicated in the email. *Please do not drink too much water before your Drug Screening as it may result in a diluted specimen and you will need to purchase a new drug screening package if this occurs. 

Note: You will receive a separate email from Adam Safeguard with a link to access the HIPAA/OSHA modules (check your spam folder if you don’t receive the link immediately after your subscription is paid).

Step 4     PA FBI fingerprinting will need to be completed and paid for separately through IdentoGO. PA Fingerprinting Step-by-Step Instructions can be found at the end of the DMS Compliance Requirements packet that you will receive once you have completed Step 3. You must have your fingerprinting  completed at an IdentoGO location in Pennsylvania no later than Wednesday May 14, 2025. The results will be mailed to you in approximately 4 to 8 weeks, and will need to be uploaded to your SentryMD student account upon receipt. If the fingerprinting results state INELIGIBLE, you will forfeit your seat in the Fall 2025 class. 

Step 5     Attend the mandatory Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program orientation on Thursday June 5, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m location Health Science Center room HSC 401 on the Mount Laurel Campus. Please note that this orientation is mandatory, therefore, late attendance, or absence is not permitted and will forfeit your seat in the Fall 2025 class.

Step 6     Successfully complete and upload all required compliances as outlined in the DMS Compliance Requirements packet to your SentryMD account no later than Thursday July 31, 2025 (This packet was received upon completion of Step 3 above).  

Please note: There are multiple forms and tasks within the compliance packet that need to be completed by you and/or your physician and uploaded to your SentryMD account, therefore, these items may take several months to complete. Please make sure to begin working on these items as soon as possible. 

                Note: The Influenza vaccine is not due until October 15, 2025 and the Program Policy Acknowledgement Pages located at the end of the student program handbook is not due until August 15, 2025. Therefore, these two items should not be uploaded until closer to these dates to ensure the correct documentation is provided, which will be discussed at the mandatory orientation. 

Please note, it is your responsibility to complete all of the steps above in their entirety by the dates indicated within each step.
